In the summer of 2025, 32 middle school students from Dingri County, Xigaze of the Xizang Autonomous Region, came to Beijing to participate in a 13-day study tour.
During their stay, the students visited various educational sites, including Beijing Aquarium, Beijing Zoo, and the Military Museum of the Chinese People’s Revolution. These visits were designed to facilitate learning through engaging activities. Additionally, they participated in educational activities that included attending the flag-raising ceremony at Tian’anmen Square and visiting prestigious institutions such as Tsinghua University and Peking University.
At the beginning of this year, an unexpected earthquake struck Dingri County, Xigaze, disrupting the tranquility of this small county at the foot of Mount Qomolangma. Under the witness of “China Speed,” the reconstruction efforts in Dingri County have progressed swiftly and systematically, leading to a gradual recovery of both production and daily life. For middle school students in Dingri County who have recently endured the earthquake, this study tour serves not only as an emotional respite but also as a milestone in their growth. Furthermore, it represents a starting point for their future endeavors.
