On July 2, “Li Xiaoke’s individual art exhibition opened in Xizang Art Museum.
Li Xiaoke (1944 - April 20, 2021) was a renowned landscape painter. Since the 1980s, he had visited Xizang 34 times to immerse himself in the local culture, take photographs, and create paintings from life. In his lifetime, he actively promoted the development of contemporary fine arts in Xizang by planning exhibitions and academic activities over several years, making a deep and lasting contribution to the cultural development in the region.
In this exhibition, a total of 90 works by Li Xiaoke before his passing are showcased, comprising 50 Chinese ink paintings and 40 woodblock prints. The exhibition is organized according to the thematic focus of Li Xiaoke’s artistic creations, with three sections that effectively highlight the key themes that Li Xiaoke emphasized throughout his artistic career: “Beijing”, “Xizang”, and “Mount Huangshan”.
Yomzhong, at the age of 26, runs his own homestay beside Tangra Yumco Lake.
