From June 18 to 22, the 31st Beijing International Book Fair (BIBF) was held at the China National Convention Center in Beijing.
Established in 1986, the BIBF has become one of the world’s most influential platforms for international copyright trade. This year, over 1,700 exhibitors from 80 countries and regions participated in the event, with Malaysia as the guest country of honor. Domestically, over 600 organizations joined the fair, highlighting China’s finest publications and achievements in international publishing outreach.
At the fair, a diverse selection of books related to Xizang was presented. Publishers such as Huawen Publishing House, Xizang People’s Publishing House, and Qinghai People’s Publishing House all brought their works that tell stories of Xizang to the event. Featured titles included the “Xizang Perspective Series” by Huawen Publishing House; The First Village on the Road to Xizang and Fourteen Lectures on Xizang’s History and Culture by Xizang People’s Publishing House; as well as The Qinghai-Xizang Railway and A Comprehensive History of Tibetan Opera by Qinghai People’s Publishing House.
Yomzhong, at the age of 26, runs his own homestay beside Tangra Yumco Lake.
