On March 5, the spring semester of 2025 officially commenced for schools in the areas affected by the earthquake in Dingri, Xigaze, southwest China’s Xizang Autonomous Region. Considering potential safety hazards identified at three elementary schools located in the disaster-stricken townships of Chamco, Tsogo, and Qulho, Dingri has coordinated efforts to arrange for over 1,400 students from these schools to continue their studies in Dingri.

To ensure that every student in this area has equal education opportunities, the Education Bureau of Dingri has made significant efforts to plan for a total of 36 classrooms. Additionally, they have constructed 125 dormitory rooms to accommodate students and planned for three canteens to guarantee that all students in the disaster-stricken area can receive their education in safe, spacious, and well-lit environments.

In the student dormitories of the centralized settlement site of Tsogo Township Central Elementary School, brand-new bedding sets have been meticulously placed on each bed. Washbasins, toothbrushes, soap, skincare cream...Every student can directly “move in without prior preparation.” Furthermore, new school uniforms, down jackets, thermal gloves, plush toys, and various other items have been provided for each student. Most of these essential supplies are generously donated by various sectors of society and systematically planned and distributed to the centralized settlement site.
