Dochen Tso is a plateau lake situated in Tuna Township, Yadong County, Xigaze City, within the Xizang Autonomous Region. Nestled at the northern foothills of the Himalayas, this lake is primarily replenished by rainfall and the melting waters from ice and snow. It creates a distinctive landscape belt alongside Chomolhari Snow Mountain, which rises to an impressive height of 7,326 meters. During winter months, the lake’s surface becomes completely frozen, creating a breathtaking phenomenon known as the “ice lake.”

As a core area of Dochen Tso National Wetland Park, it encompasses notable features such as Pagri Grassland and Tuna Marsh and Wetland in its vicinity. The region is accessible via China National Highway 562 and Provincial Highway S204. A viewing platform has been established beside the lake, allowing tourists to appreciate the stunning inverted reflections of snow-capped mountains on its tranquil waters.
