As a renowned musical ensemble for the visually impaired in Xizang, the Hada Gabu Blind Band conveys hope through their melodic humming and ethereal vocals while playing dramnyen, a traditional Tibetan instrument similar to a lute. Although its members navigate life in darkness, they illuminate the vibrant trajectory of existence through their music.
During an event, traditional Tibetan songs and original compositions improvised by the band resonated deeply with the audience’s souls. They shared insights into their creative journey of overcoming challenges: “Music serves as both our eyes and freedom, enabling us to perceive a broader world.”
