Recently, the "Celebrating a Prosperous China and Strengthening Ethnic Unity: Thangka Exhibition Commemorating the 60th Anniversary of the Founding of the Xizang Autonomous Region" opened at the Xizang Museum.

Focusing on Thangka art, the treasured art form of traditional Tibetan paintings, the exhibition vividly showcased the achievements of ethnic unity and the enduring charm of Chinese culture.

The centerpiece of the exhibition is a 200-meter-long Thangka scroll titled the "Golden Mirror of the Genealogical Tree of the Tibetan Kings". This monumental artwork, based on historical records, depicts historic moments such as when Princess Wencheng and later Princess Jincheng married into Xizang and when the Tang and Tubo formed alliance. Through richly detailed illustrations, the scroll presents the profound interethnic exchanges and integration in culture, politics, and economy.
