Grey cranes and other wild bird flocks rest on the wetland. Recently, groups of grey cranes have been observed gathering in Dulan County, Haixi Mongolian and Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province. The species is classified as a second-class nationally protected wild animal in China.
