Teenagers from Xizang Attend CSL Opening Ceremony as Special Guests

A few days ago, a group of teachers and students from the earthquake-stricken areas in Dingri, Xigaze, Xizang visited Shanghai for cultural exchange activities. During this period, the new season of the Chinese Football Association Super League (CSL) just started.

On the evening of February 22, 4 students from the earthquake-stricken area of Dingri County, Xigaze, Xizang, appeared at the Shanghai Stadium. With another two students of Han nationality, they brought the “CSL Cup” to the football field and participated in the opening ceremony of the 2025 CSL before an audience of tens of thousands. As special guests, they also had the honor of serving as lead singers for the national anthem during the opening match of the CSL.

Under the bright national flag, the students from Dingri stood resolutely, embodying the spirit of national unity and earthquake relief through their powerful singing. The flag-raising ceremony concluded with resounding applause from tens of thousands of spectators, vividly reflecting a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation. The Shanghai Stadium changed into a bridge for exchanges between Shanghai and Xizang.

Denzin Qumig, a student from Dingri Second Junior High School, expressed her excitement upon receiving a football. She mentioned that her younger brother had always desired a football, and now his dream has finally come true.
