February 8th is the 29th day of the twelfth month in the Tibetan calendaralso known as Gutuk Night, which is similar to the traditional Chinese Lunar New Year's Eve. All Tibetan families eat Gutuk (a kind of pasta with various fillings with different meanings cooked in beef, lamb and radish) this night to welcome New Year.
