Recently, the Chinese-Tibetan-English Dictionary of Science and Technology was officially published by Minzu Publishing House.

In order to promote the standardization, unification and popularization of the translation of scientific and technological terms into Tibetan, and improve the scientific and cultural literacy and language ability of the people of all ethnic groups, since 2014, the Compilation and Translation Bureau of the Tibet Autonomous Region and the Tibetan Neologism and Terminology Translation and Standardization Committee of the Tibet Autonomous Region drew from more than 100 disciplines approved, published and provided by the China National Committee for Terminology in Science and Technology, screened out more than 100,000 professional terms published before 2010 in 23 disciplines including materials, surveying and mapping, geography, geology, electricians, electricity, highways, computer technology, architecture, landscape and urban planning, forestry, coal, agronomy, ecology, mathematics, water conservancy, railway, communication, civil engineering, soil, medicine, language, plants and resources, and organize translation professionals to translate and proofread. 

After several years of efforts, the dictionary has finally been published, which fills the gap of the lack of a dictionary with comprehensive science and technology terms in the existing Chinese-Tibetan-English control dictionaries.
