2022-09-16 16:51:00China Tibet Online

Walking in Xainza County, Nagqu City, Tibet Autonomous Region, you can see green grass, blooming flowers, and scattered Tibetan-style houses...

Today, the ecosystem of Xainza County is stable and the biodiversity is effectively protected. The black-necked cranes, the national first-class protected wild animal, have grown from more than 500 at the beginning of the establishment of the Serling Lake National Nature Reserve to more than 1,000; the Tibetan antelope has grown from a few thousand at first to about 30,000 now. At present, the population of various wild animals in Xainza County is increasing year by year.

“In the past, the grassland here seriously degraded, forming a black soil beach. In winter and spring, the weather was dusty and windy. As there were so much household garbage on the road, it could be everywhere when the wind blew. Now the roads are clean and tidy, and the environment is getting better and better,” said villager Kelzang Tashi of Xainza County.
