Born in 1996, Jiayong Silang said goodbye to school when he was 16 years old and went to the city with his uncle to make a living. He has worked on construction sites, as a security guard, and as a cashier... but these fragmented incomes were only a drop in the bucket to support the whole family.

In 2014, Jiayong Silang, who had always wanted to learn a skill, listened to his father's advice and began learning to paint murals with a teacher for three years. Under the strict guidance of his teacher, Jiayong Silang acquired solid mural painting skills with his research spirit and serious learning attitude, and became the most outstanding one of the teacher’s many disciples.

In 2017, buildings were built one after another in the village. Because of the need for decoration, everyone invited Jiayong Silang to paint Tibetan-style murals on the walls of their new houses. The times flies and the public aesthetics are constantly changing. People are no longer satisfied with hand-painted murals and simple decorations.

Jiayong Silang had the idea of opening a Tibetan-style decoration company. With no experience, he studied in a decoration company for over a year. In 2019, he established his first decoration company in Qamdo, specializing in Tibetan-style decoration work.

He also called on young men in the village who did not have regular jobs to join his start-up team. In 2021, he opened a wood processing factory in the village and also went to learn machine operation skills in another city. "The carving of Tibetan furniture is very complicated, but I have the painting skills of murals, so I can learn very quickly."

"Next, I plan to start a website for my decoration company, learn from the Internet-based decoration model of good companies in other places, and make my decoration business bigger and bigger." Jiayong Silang said.
