Honey industry drives employment

On May 28, in a beekeeping base in Konggar County, Lhoka City, Tibet Autonomous Region at an altitude of 3,650 meters, a staff member is collecting honey. It is reported that the beekeeping project is a brand-new project incubated and promoted by the ninth batch of aid-Tibet team of Changsha, Hunan Province. The project started in May 2020. At present, the No. 1 Honeycomb Complex, Transparent Factory, Sunshine Restaurant and eight bee-breeding demonstration bases have been completed, creating jobs for 358 local people, and the first-year sales after production reached 8 million yuan.
