A sturgeon farming zone in Zhuoni County, Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Gansu Province. Leveraging the advantages of high-altitude cold-water resources, the county has attracted leading caviar producers to establish operations there. Today, more than 300,000 sturgeons are raised annually, supporting the production of around 50 tons of caviar and 450 tons of sturgeon meat products each year. With an annual output value exceeding 110 million yuan, the county’s plateau caviar products are exported to markets across Europe, the United States, Russia, and the Middle East.
