Nyima Wangchug, a 78-year-old Tibetan rural man who is good at Cho dance, will be the eldest actor for the 2009 Tibetan Losar evening gala launched by Tibet TV Station.
Learning Cho dance from his father and grandfather since his childhood, Nyima Wangchug begged by dancing in the old Tibet. However, nowadays he is a teacher hired by the local government to teach young dancers.
With more than 1,000 years of history, Cho dance is popular among Tibetans and the rural people always perform it for big events to pray for good luck.
