In Tibetan, Xin Co means "trunk lake". Some say that because it is a newly discovered lake, it is called "Xin Co" in Tibetan (Xin means new and Co means lake in Tibetan).

Xin Co is located about 30 kilometers northeast of Basum Co National Forest Park in Gongbo Gyamda County, Nyingchi City, Tibet. Her beauty is no less than Basum Co. Streams, virgin forests, meadows, and snow-capped mountains all together make it a paradise.

Different from the endless northern Tibetan plateau, the southeastern Tibet has a lower altitude with dense virgin forests, deep canyons, and many unknown snow-capped mountains, glaciers and lakes. If you travel there, you can often encounter unexpected beauty.
