A traditional horse racing, an event of the seventh annual Shangshung cultural tourism festival, kicked off in Gyamuk Village of Gar County, Ngari Prefecture, southwest China's Tibet.

The race set up 5 competitions such as horse racing, horse riding, picking up hada, picking up brick tea, archery and equestrian skills. The competition attracted 151 athletes from Gar County, Purang County and other areas.

On the day of the race, the riders and horses were all dressed up, and the difficulty and intensity of the competition increased sharply as the horses are kept by riders themselves, which are more difficult to master than horses for performing.

The traditional equestrian performance is more and more popular, both sides of the stadium are packed, and they cheer for each player's match.

In the picking up brick tea competition scene, the contestant will pick up the brick tea to throw into the air, manifesting superb equestrian skill.
