On November 20, Lhasa City established a science-popularizing center in Dzongyab Lukhang Park to popularize the knowledge of urban domestic waste classification. Lhasa, capital city of Tibet, is one of 46 pilot cities for domestic waste classification in China. In order to guide people to gradually and accurately classify and discharge domestic waste, the city has introduced management measures, putting out more than 39,000 sets of sorted waste bins to better promote the classification of urban domestic waste.

According to the management measures, domestic waste is divided into four categories: recyclables, kitchen waste, hazardous waste, and other waste. The Lhasa Municipal Management and Comprehensive Law Enforcement Bureau said that Lhasa is currently improving its garbage putting, collection, transportation, and processing systems.
