2018 "Dagze over Cloud" cultural tourism creativity contest opens

The 2018 “Dagze over Cloud” cultural tourism creativity contest opened a few days ago in Nanjing, capital city of east China’s Jiangsu Province.

The contest was jointly organized by the Dagze district of Lhasa, capital city of southwest China’s Tibet, and east China’s Zhenjiang, which is a pairing-assistance city to the district.

The contest has three award categories: 10 “Addicted to Dagze” cultural symbols; 10 “Addicted to Dagze” creators; and 10 “Addicted to Dagze” entrepreneurial projects. First, second, and third prizes will be awarded in each category with cash bonuses of 10,000, 5,000, and 3,000 yuan ($1569.7, $784.9, $470.9). The competition will be held until June 5, and contest finals will be held in early July, with prizes being awarded during the final.

Dagze district of Lhasa boasts excellent Tibetan thangka, masks, copper craftsmanship, and unique Tibetan "Guozhuang (circle dance)" folk song and dance, and has developmental advantages in the eco-agriculture, tourism, and cultural industries. In addition, the Nanjing Qinhuai Laodongmen Historical and Cultural District and surrounding area welcomed last year more than 5 million people for visit, investment and business last year. It is also a Jiangsu-Lhasa Cultural and Creative Exchange location.
