The ancient town of Dukezong in Shangri-la County of Deqen Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in southwest China’s Yunnan Province has the most well-preserved and largest Tibetan-style folk houses in China. The town was once an essential stop on the Yunnan-Tibet Tea Horse Road.

In the evening, the silver moonlight makes the ancient town look extra glamorous. As a result, locals call the town "Dukezong," which means "a town of white rocks" in Tibetan, as well as a city of moonlight.
