Dorje Jiancai, a returned Tibetan compatriot is 84 years old and has gone back to China's Tibet from India for 16 years. It was in 1987 that Dorje Jiancai got a chance to go back to Tibet to have a visit and he found that great changes had taken place in his hometown, Lhoka. And favorable to those Tibetans who live overseas made him decide to go back to Lhoka to settle down in 1992 and at his 69 Dorje Jiancai returned his hometown and his motherland by ending vagabond life in India.
When we stepped into Dorje Jiancai's house, this elder is busy with reading sutra books in his tidy, traditional Tibetan style room. Dorje Jiancai now enjoys comfortable life with support from the local government as he can get some subsidy every month and receive free medical service benefiting from a medical service policy. I live a happy life now and enjoy religious belief freedom. I have never regretted for my choice of getting back to my hometown, said Dorje Jiancai.
When mentioning the earthquake happening in China's Sichuan Province, Dorje Jiancai became disappointed and he has prayed for the victims suffering from earthquake and he said Everyone may meet some difficulties and all those sufferings will be conquered. I believe we can solve any problem and I will keep on praying for the victims and also pray for the booming of our country.
