As the the biggest ever tour exhibition on Tibetan culture and art since the establishment of the People's Republic of China, "Auspicious Hada: Tibetan Culture & Art Tour Exhibition" was inaugurated on December 12 in the East Asia Exhibition Center of Shanghai for its first stop. The exhibition is divided into ten themes scattering in different halls namely: Understand Tibet, Folk Custom, Contemporary Thangka Art, Traditional Art, Contemporary Art, Tibetan Costume, Tibetan Medicine and Barkor Shopping Center. The exhibition includes more than 300 items collected from Tibetan families and temples and authentic performances from 55 Tibetan artists and monks.

  • "Without concern from the central government and supports from around the country, Tibet couldn't be as stable and satisfying as it is now," Raidi, vice-chairman of 10th National People's Congress, addressed for the opening ceremony of the Tibetan Culture & Art Tour Exhibition, in Shanghai.

  • Among eight exhibition zones which carry different themes, 20 pieces of handmade arras embroidered with the 80 outstanding figures in Tibetan Buddhism, displayed in the zones of traditional culture, seem to be a prominence.
